Morning Joe host and former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough and veteran columnist Mike Barnicle discuss the erosion of bipartisanship in American politics. “We now are part of a process—a political system—where members of Congress, members of the United States Senate, some of them, are more afraid of Twitter and their own constituents than they are of any great issue that they’re going to have to resolve. Tip O’Neill, one of his best friends in the House of Representatives was Gerry Ford, and that does not happen today. You don’t see friendships like that today in politics,” says Barnicle.
