MIKE ON MORNING JOE SAYS ABOUT THE CURRENT STATE OF THE U.S. GOVERNMENT AND THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IN PARTICULAR: “I DON’T THINK THERE IS A PARALLEL [TO THE WAYS IN WHICH REPUBLICANS HAVE HURT THEIR OWN PARTY] WHEN YOU HAVE A COUPLE OF REPUBLICAN SENATORS, ONE REPUBLICAN SENATOR, SPECIFICALLY, BASICALLY ACTING AS SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE, CONTROLLING A SMALL CAUCUS OF REPUBLICANS IN THE HOUSE [OF REPRESENTATIVES] THAT DISRUPT THE FUNCTION OF GOVERNMENT. AND I WOULD IMAGINE THAT THERE MUST BE A LEVEL, A FEELING OF INADEQUACY WITHIN THE CONGRESS. PEOPLE, I THINK, IN THIS COUNTRY FEEL THAT WE ARE AT A POINT WHERE PERHAPS WE ARE UNGOVERNABLE, GIVEN THE BEHAVIOR OF BOTH PARTIES IN WASHINGTON.” ON MSNBC.
